Woodfold Accordion Partition Systems

Premium folding partitions in hardwood veneer, vinyl-laminate, see-through acrylic, or aluminum — built to your finished opening, hinged with Woodfold's exclusive steel hardware.

Quietly Premium Folding Partitions

Woodfold builds in Oregon, ships individually crated, and trusts the install to certified distributors like RHL. We measure the opening, order the door, and handle everything from delivery through final adjustment.

Hinge service, panel replacement, and finish touch-ups are all part of the long-term relationship across Illinois and SE Wisconsin.

Why a Woodfold Partition

Custom-Crafted to Spec

Every door is sized to your finished opening — no trimming, no shimming. Hardwoods up to 10'1″, vinyl-laminate up to 12'1″.

Hardware That Lasts

Woodfold's exclusive steel hinge system is the reason these doors keep folding smoothly decades after install — not vinyl rivets that wear out.

Eight Series, Three Categories

Standard room dividers, see-through or aluminum security panels, and three tiers of acoustic performance — one platform, the right finish for every room.

Folding Partitions, Done with Restraint

Woodfold accordion partitions are top-supported folding doors built around 4¼″ panels that hinge together along a 1-1/8″ aluminum track. Each panel is ¼″ thick (or ½″ on the acoustic 4100). Because Woodfold builds the door to your finished opening, you can order anything from a 4-foot closet door to a 12-foot conference room divider with the same series.

Three Tiers of Sound Control

STC and FSTC ratings measure how well a partition blocks airborne sound. Higher numbers mean better privacy. Pick the tier that matches what you need to keep on each side of the door.

21
Series 2100 · Single Wall
Basic sound dampening — muffles raised voices but loud conversation still passes. Good for offices and classrooms wanting some buffer.
33
Series 3300 · Dual Wall
Mid-range isolation. Conversation becomes muffled and indistinct — suitable for meeting rooms, training spaces, semi-private offices.
41
Series 4100 · Premium
Strong acoustic isolation. Speech from the adjacent room is not intelligible. The right pick for studios, healthcare, and critical privacy.

Built to Disappear into the Room

A folding partition shouldn't look like a folding partition. Woodfold offers natural hardwood veneers, durable vinyl-laminates, and specialty options that finish the wall properly.

Hardwood Veneer
Natural wood faces with authentic grain — oak, maple, birch, cherry, walnut, and more. Stain or finish to match existing millwork.
Vinyl-Laminate
Durable, moisture-resistant finish for high-traffic commercial environments. Easy to wipe down, resistant to scuffs, available in wood-grain and solid color patterns.
Custom Logo Murals
Print custom logos, branding, or artwork directly onto Series 240 panels. Branded conference rooms, retail backdrops, hospitality lobbies.
Acrylic Panels (Visifold)
Clear, heavy-duty acrylic with a rigid-PVC-over-steel-rod hinge — the see-through security closure that doesn't sacrifice transparency.
Aluminum Panels (Alumifold)
Single-piece extruded aluminum panels in solid or perforated. Five anodized and powder-coat finishes, including bronze, clear, and dark anodize.
Fire Retardant Option
Optional flame-resistant treatment is available across the line for code-compliant institutional and high-occupancy installations.

Common Questions About Woodfold Partitions

What's the difference between Series 220 and 240?
Same panel construction (4¼″ × ¼″) and same hinge platform — the 240 is the commercial flagship that goes up to 12'1″ in vinyl-laminate. The 220 tops out at 8'1″ and is the right choice for residential or smaller commercial openings. The Series 140, by the way, has been discontinued; the 220 is its replacement.
When should I pick Visifold vs. Alumifold?
Visifold uses clear acrylic panels — pick it when you need security AND visibility, like a storefront grille that lets you keep merchandise on display. Alumifold uses aluminum panels in solid or perforated — pick it when you want a more opaque modern look or when you don't need to see through.
Which acoustic tier do I actually need?
2100 (STC 21) is a basic sound buffer for offices and classrooms. 3300 (FSTC 33) muffles conversation and is the right pick for meeting rooms, training spaces, and exam rooms. 4100 (FSTC 41) is the premium tier — speech from the next room is not intelligible. We help match the tier to your use case during the quote.
Can I get hardwood veneers stained to match other millwork?
Yes. Woodfold offers a range of hardwood veneers (oak, maple, birch, cherry, walnut, and more) that can be supplied unfinished for site staining, or finished by Woodfold to a stain you specify. Bring us a sample of your existing millwork.
Are these doors ADA compliant?
Series 220, 240, 440 (Visifold standard), and 640 (Alumifold standard) meet ADA standards for handle height and operating force. The heavy-duty 540 and 740 may not, depending on configuration — we'll confirm during the quote against your AHJ requirements.
Where are Woodfold doors made?
All Woodfold accordion doors are designed and manufactured in Oregon, USA. Each door is individually packaged in cartons or wood crates so it arrives in install-ready condition.
