Smart Walls That Work for You

Operable partitions are movable wall systems that transform fixed spaces into flexible, multi-purpose environments. They glide smoothly on ceiling-mounted tracks, allowing you to divide large rooms into smaller sections—or open them back up in seconds.

RHL Enterprises installs industry-leading Kwik-Wall partition systems that combine superior acoustics, durability, and ease of operation. Whether you need privacy, sound control, or flexible space management, operable partitions deliver on all fronts.

  • Move panels smoothly with minimal effort (manual or automatic operation)
  • Acoustic ratings from 42 to 56 STC—industry-leading sound isolation
  • Customize finishes: vinyl, carpet, fabric, HPL, or customer's own material
  • No permanent installation—perfect for leased or renovation-sensitive spaces

Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to the most common questions about Kwik-Wall operable partition systems.

What's the difference between 3" and 4" panels?

The 4" (3000 Series) panels deliver superior acoustics with STC ratings up to 56, making them ideal for applications requiring maximum sound control like theaters, recording studios, and high-security spaces. The 3" (2000 Series) panels offer STC ratings up to 51 and are more cost-effective, perfect for schools, churches, and facilities where retrofitting existing storage pockets is important. Choose 4" for premium acoustic performance; choose 3" for budget-conscious projects or retrofit applications.

Should I use steel or aluminum tracks?

Both are excellent choices. There's no meaningful acoustic difference when properly engineered. Steel tracks (Type 850 or 11L) offer maximum load capacity for heavy-duty applications. Aluminum tracks (Profile 425 or 850) are lighter and more corrosion-resistant. The key advantage of anodized aluminum is that it holds up better to seal contact over time, making it an excellent choice for frequently-operated partitions. Steel is preferred for extremely heavy installations or custom powder-coated finishes.

What's the maximum panel height we can install?

The 3000 Series can reach up to 30 feet tall (Models 3010 and 3020). The Hufcor 600 Series offers exceptional height capability, reaching 30'1" to 41'7" in a single frame, and up to 60 feet tall with spliced panels. If your facility requires extremely tall partitions, the Hufcor 600 Series is the perfect solution for auditoriums, convention halls, and large-scale venues.

Can partitions operate automatically?

Yes! Both the 3050 and 2050 models feature continuously-hinged electric operation with programmable electric drives. These systems can be automated to open and close on schedule or via remote control. This is perfect for facilities that need hands-free operation or want to automate their space management between events or sessions.

How long does production take?

Production typically takes under 10 weeks after release for fabrication—the fastest in the industry. This quick turnaround means you won't wait long to transform your space. RHL Enterprises handles consultation, design, and coordination to get your project moving as quickly as possible.

What finishes are available?

We offer a complete range of finishes: vinyl, carpet, fabric, HPL laminate, dry erase boards, cork, Customer Supplied Material, uncovered, and field painting options. Whatever your aesthetic vision, we can match it. Visit our finishes section above to see all available options.

What does the 10-year track warranty cover?

The industry-leading 10-year track warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship on all track systems. This comprehensive coverage gives you peace of mind that your partition investment is protected against manufacturing issues and mechanical failures. It's the best warranty in the operable partition industry.

Are operable partitions accessible for people with disabilities?

Yes. Kwik-Wall systems include ADA-compliant pass doors with accessible hardware. The Hufcor 600 Series also offers both single and double pass doors. Electric operation (available on 3050 and 2050 models) makes opening and closing hands-free, which improves accessibility. We design systems to meet or exceed ADA requirements.
