Eliason Easy Swing · Certified Partner

Impact & Specialty Doors

Bidirectional impact doors built to take a beating. Eliason has been making the original Easy Swing double-action traffic door since 1952 — we install them across kitchens, warehouses, freezers, and storefronts.

Engineered for Constant Traffic

Eliason impact doors swing freely in both directions and absorb thousands of bumps per year — carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, hips, shoulders. RHL Enterprises supplies and installs the right Eliason model for kitchens, freezers, warehouses, and stockrooms across Illinois and SE Wisconsin.

Hardware service, gasket replacement, and bumper replacements are part of the long-term relationship.

What Makes an Impact Door an Impact Door

Bidirectional Swing

Push from either side, walk through hands-full, doors snap back to closed. The Easy Swing hinge is the original.

Built for Abuse

Bumpers, kick plates, edge guards, and high-pressure laminate or stainless steel surfaces — designed to survive the cart that hits it daily.

Climate Zone Separation

Gaskets and seals keep cold air in the cooler and conditioned air out of the warehouse — without slowing down traffic.

How an Eliason Door Actually Works

Eliason invented the double-action swinging traffic door in 1952. The Easy Swing hinge lets the door pivot freely in both directions and self-center after each swing — staff push through hands-full, the door snaps back, and the climate zone holds. A porthole window lets you see who's coming the other way before contact.

Pick the Material to Match the Room

Different rooms produce different abuse. Eliason offers a material spec for each — nothing is one-size-fits-all.

High-Pressure Laminate (HPL)
Wood-core HPL for kitchens and food service. Sealed surface meets hygiene codes, holds up against carts, wipes down clean. SCP-8 is a workhorse model in this category.
ABS Plastic
Impact-resistant plastic that absorbs hits without denting. Common in retail and back-of-house traffic where durability beats premium aesthetics. P11, G11 PLUS, HCP-10 are the bestsellers.
Anodized Aluminum
Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, low-maintenance. The LWP-3 is the lightweight aluminum standard for retail and office back-of-house traffic.
Stainless Steel
Premium corrosion-resistant surface for healthcare, pharmaceutical, food processing, and any high-moisture environment. SCG-3 is the stainless flagship.
USDA Cold-Belt
Two-ply −30°F-rated belting on the FLT-400 for cold storage and freezer entries. Flexes around forklift mast contact without breaking.
Bumpers, Plates, Edge Guards
All Eliason categories can be ordered with reinforced bumpers, kick plates, and stainless edge guards — the difference between a 5-year and a 15-year door.

Common Questions About Impact Doors

Which Eliason category fits my space?
Use the room and the traffic to pick. Restaurant kitchens get HPL or ABS with porthole windows. Warehouses with forklifts get heavy industrial. Cooler entries get FLT-400 belting or insulated rigid. We confirm the right model on the site survey.
Can these handle forklift traffic?
Yes. Industrial-category doors are reinforced for forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, and U-boat impact. Heavy bumpers, large vision panels, and edge guards are standard options on those models.
Do impact doors actually save energy?
Significantly. A gasketed impact door between a freezer and a workspace cuts cold-air loss every time someone walks through — freezer compressor cycles less, processing rooms hold their temp better, HVAC works less. Most installs pay back the door cost in utility savings within a few years.
Are fire-rated options available?
Yes — Eliason offers fire-rated impact doors for code-compliant installations. We confirm the AHJ rating requirement and spec accordingly.
Can the doors be branded with our logo?
Yes — the Designer Series category exists for exactly that. Custom graphics, branded laminates, oversized windows, and matched paint colors can all be applied to a standard base model. Branded retail and hospitality use this constantly.
How long do Eliason doors last?
15–25 years is typical with regular service. Bumpers and gaskets are wear items and get replaced periodically; the door itself, the hinges, and the frame are built to outlast the original install. RHL handles ongoing service so the doors stay in service.
